What is an Extended School?
Extended schools provide access to a core offer of extended services:
These are:

- Community use of facilities including adult and family learning and ICT.
These will often be provided before or after the school day but not necessarily by teachers or on the school site.

- Improve pupil attendance, self-confidence, motivation and pupil attainment
- Reduce exclusion rates;
- Better enable teachers to focus on teaching and learning;
