Dear Howley Families,
I hope everyone had a super summer. It was lovely to have so much good weather throughout the holiday (for a change!).
I would like to say 'welcome back' to all our children, families and staff as we begin another exciting school year. I must also extend the warmest of welcomes to our new Reception children and their families. It has been lovely meeting you all this week, and we are so proud of your little ones. They really have made a superb start to their Howley journey.
I have to say that all our children look so smart. I appreciate that we made some tweaks to our uniform, and I would like to thank you for your ongoing support. Our uniform helps us to foster a really strong sense of belonging for everyone, and it has been fabulous to see our children taking such pride in being part of our school family. We recognise the commitment this requires from our families and are grateful for your continued partnership.
We have enjoyed one of the very best starts to a new school year that I can remember. It has been wonderful to have our children back in school. They have settled into their new classes brilliantly, made a positive start to their learning, and have already impressed us with their enthusiasm and effort. It has also been lovely to catch up with our families on the playground at drop-off and collection times. Howley has been full of smiles, excitement and a real sense of community, and we are looking forward to a happy and successful year ahead together.
Sending everyone my very best wishes. Have a lovely weekend.
Miss Lewis
